We are working with a housing provider who is looking to recruit a Community Engagement Officer to join their Customer & Community Services team.
About the Role
As a Community Engagement Officer, you will help deliver high-quality, resident-focused engagement services. You'll act as a key link between the organisation, residents and local partners - ensuring people feel informed, supported and able to influence decisions that affect their homes and neighbourhoods.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a main point of contact for residents and community partners
- Support resident involvement and local engagement activities
- Signpost households to support services
- Help deliver digital inclusion initiatives
- Work with community groups and resident associations
- Collect engagement data and support neighbourhood improvement programmes
- Attend occasional evening/weekend meetings
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with the public or community groups
- Strong customer-service and communication skills
- Ability to handle challenging conversations professionally
- Knowledge of community engagement, digital inclusion and basic H&S
- Confident using Microsoft Office and digital systems
- Able to work independently and manage a varied workload
- Full driving licence, access to a car and ability to pass a DBS check
