Parity Group are delighted to partner with our client, a public sector organisation, who is looking to recruit a Project Manager for a minimum 6-month period. This role will involve hybrid working and is based in Milton Keynes. We are seeking a skilled and motivated HERMES Project Manager to support the delivery of secure Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) work packages within a high-profile UK Government environment.
Working alongside a Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in planning and delivering projects across complex, secure environments. This position requires a proactive and adaptable individual who can manage competing priorities while ensuring delivery within time, cost, and quality constraints.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Senior Project Manager in leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering project work packages.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, cost models, and key documentation (including PIDs).
- Deliver projects in line with governance frameworks, including the Gateway Review Process.
- Manage budgets, including risk allowances, ensuring financial control throughout delivery.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Adapt plans and delivery approaches in response to changing customer priorities.
- Ensure adherence to project management frameworks and reporting standards.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, providing updates and strategic insight.
- Champion user needs, accessibility, and service design principles throughout the project lifecycle.
You are an experienced Project Manager who thrives in structured yet fast-paced environments. You bring strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage complexity and uncertainty effectively.
Essential Skills & Experience- 3+ years' experience in Project Delivery or Project Management roles.
- Working knowledge of ITIL and Service Desk environments.
- Experience leading multi-skilled, cross-functional teams (including virtual teams).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft tools, including MS Project.
- Experience working in hybrid Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and remain resilient under pressure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
