Parity Network is recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the operational delivery of a portfolio of secure spaces products within a highly secure environment. This is a fantastic opportunity to establish and lead a new operational function supporting the delivery of secure facilities and services. You'll play a key role in transitioning innovative products into business-as-usual operations, leading a specialist team, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across a complex operational landscape.

The Role

As Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for establishing and delivering the operational strategy for secure spaces products once they move into live service. You'll oversee day-to-day operations, lead a growing technical team, and ensure the successful delivery of services while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance and customer satisfaction. You'll also be responsible for planning and managing a new secure logistics hub, supporting future expansion and ensuring operational readiness as additional secure products and services are introduced.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of secure spaces products as they transition into live service.
  • Manage onsite operational activities, including secure installations, storage management and logistics.
  • Establish and manage the future secure logistics hub, including operational design, staffing, equipment and ongoing management.
  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing operational team.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and customer service.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Monitor operational performance through KPIs, reporting and service metrics.
  • Forecast resource requirements and support budget and business planning activities.
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure successful service delivery.
  • Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, security, regulatory and quality standards, including ISO9001.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and provide regular operational updates to senior leadership.
  • Support the successful introduction of new secure products into operational service.

Essential Skills & Experience

We're looking for an experienced operational leader with a proven track record of managing complex service delivery environments and leading specialist technical teams. You'll be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant experience leading operational service delivery within a complex or secure environment.
  • Experience managing technical specialists or product delivery teams.
  • A successful track record in operational leadership and service management.
  • Experience of business planning, forecasting and resource management.
  • Experience delivering operational performance against KPIs and service level targets.
  • Strong leadership, coaching and people development skills.
  • Experience driving operational change and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
  • The ability to negotiate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a focus on delivering service excellence.
  • The ability to remain resilient and make effective decisions in a fast-paced, high-security environment.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working within Defence, National Security, Government or other highly regulated environments.
  • Experience supporting secure operational facilities or critical infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 quality management standards.
  • Experience managing operational readiness for new products or services.
