Contract Opportunity: Service Now Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Technical Product SME
Duration: 3 weeks | Rate: Up to £900/day | Location: Remote (may require occasional workshops)
We are seeking a highly skilled Service Now Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Technical Product SME to join a leading consultancy on a short-term contract.
This is a hands-on role requiring both design and implementation expertise across Service Now HAM modules.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and optimisation of Service Now HAM modules, including Asset Classes, Models, Stockrooms, and Transfer Orders.
- Design and implement HAM lifecycle processes from procurement through retirement, ensuring compliance with governance and audit standards.
- Advise on Service Now architecture, integrations, workflows, and APIs to ensure scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders through workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and governance discussions.
- Mentor and guide development teams on Service Now best practices.
- Design integrations with CMDB, Discovery, Procurement systems, and third-party tools using REST/SOAP APIs and MID Server.
- Ensure alignment with ITIL and ITAM frameworks and maintain CMDB data integrity.
- Candidate Requirements
- Deep understanding of Service Now HAM and CMDB architecture.
- Proven hands-on experience with Service Now configuration, customisation, and scripting.
- Knowledge of Service Now upgrade and release management processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in complex enterprise environments.
