Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) Project Manager to lead a high-profile project for our client in the energy sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing ETRM system implementations or upgrades, with a particular focus on power trading. Role requires hands-on leadership and expertise in both project management and power trading operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead and manage end-to-end ETRM system implementation or enhancement projects.
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery within the defined scope and budget.
Service Delivery:
- Ensure that all services related to the ETRM project are delivered in alignment with agreed SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
- Maintain strong operational oversight to ensure smooth daily service delivery for the client.
- Identify and implement improvements in service delivery processes to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Act as a point of escalation for service-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Conduct regular service review meetings with stakeholders to report on performance and gather feedback.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Power Trading Expertise:
- Leverage deep knowledge of power trading processes to align the ETRM solution with business needs.
- Ensure the solution supports critical functionalities such as trading, risk management, position management, and regulatory compliance.
Technical and Functional Coordination:
- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of the ETRM system with other business systems.
- Lead workshops and gather business requirements from power trading teams.
- Drive user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitate smooth system go-live.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks, issues, and dependencies and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- Experience in project management within the energy sector.
- Demonstrated experience managing ETRM projects, particularly in power trading.
- Familiarity with leading ETRM platforms such as Allegro, OpenLink, or Endur is a plus.
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of energy trading, risk management, and associated workflows.
- Familiarity with European energy markets and regulations.
