Paritas is working with a leading client within Financial Services who is looking for multiple Software Engineers for a Java Microservices, Mobile Platform project. This is an opportunity for a driven Software Engineer to take on an exciting new career challenge. Day‑to‑day, you’ll be engineering and maintaining innovative, customer‑centric, high‑performance, secure, and robust solutions.

What you’ll do:

  • Work within a feature team to engineer software, scripts, and tools, and liaise with other engineers, architects, and business analysts across the platform.
  • Produce complex and critical software rapidly and with high quality that adds value to the business.
  • Work in permanent teams responsible for the full life cycle—from initial development, through enhancement and maintenance, to replacement or decommissioning.
  • Collaborate to optimise our software engineering capability.
  • Design, produce, test, and implement our working software solutions.
  • Work across the life cycle, from requirements analysis and design, through coding, to testing, deployment, and operations.

The skills you’ll need:

  • A background in software engineering and design, and an understanding of how your expertise supports our customers.
  • Experience developing Java software and a proven record of delivering well‑tested, production‑ready software.
  • Knowledge and experience of agile delivery methods, including the use of CI/CD to deliver and maintain quality in the software development lifecycle.
  • The ability to implement programming best practices, especially around security, availability, performance, and observability.
  • Experience delivering microservices and the specific requirements that arise from these architectures.
