The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and delivery-focused Project Manager to lead the successful planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects across the organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects from initiation through to closure, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the agreed quality standards.
The Project Manager will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, suppliers, and senior leadership to coordinate resources, manage risks, and deliver strategic business outcomes. This role requires excellent leadership, communication, governance, and organisational skills, together with the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced technology environment
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology and digital projects.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Monitor project progress and ensure delivery against agreed milestones.
- Manage project changes through appropriate governance and change control processes.
- Ensure projects are completed in accordance with organisational standards and methodologies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business sponsors, customers, suppliers, and technical teams.
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Develop and manage project budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor expenditure and ensure effective financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience delivering technology or digital projects within a medium or large organisation.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models. Working towards a PM qualification within 12mths.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, and risks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Experience using project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar.
- Ability to hold a minimum of UK Security Clearance (SC)
Desirable Skills and Experience
- PRINCE2 Practitioner, AgilePM, PMP, APM PMQ, or equivalent project management qualification.
- Experience delivering cloud migration, infrastructure, software development, cybersecurity, or digital transformation projects.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery frameworks including Scrum and Kanban.
- Familiarity with ITIL Service Management and operational transition.
- Experience working within regulated industries or public sector organisations.
- Understanding of portfolio management and PMO governance
