Reports to: National Sales & Training Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Area Manager oversees and reports into the National Sales & Training Manager on all operations of both Parfums de Marly and Initio brands. The individual in this role delivers a captivating, branded customer experience and enables consistent sales growth through their sales team that can positively represent our luxury brands. This position is a key role in championing Customer Experience to achieve sales goals by developing existing client base and reaching new prospects through networking and outreach strategies. This role will also promote and maintain the company culture fostering values of: Transparency, Recognition, Accountability, and Communication.

The Fragrance brands Parfums de Marly and Initio are in 50 key high-end department stores around the UK. The company has grown significantly in the last 5 years and is rapidly expanding in the UK. This is a great opportunity for somebody who has a can-do attitude, and has a real passion to work within the fragrance and beauty industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and grow sales in the assigned area.
  • Strengthen brand positioning.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to make commercial decisions.

  • Build strong customer loyalty by leading by example and holding the team accountable for executing Customer Experience Standards across all stores.
  • Coordinate and attend trainings, staying current on product knowledge, understand luxury market and follow business trends.

Sales and Service Commitments

  • To achieve sales by adhering to Sales and Training guidelines:
  • Pro-actively identify opportunities to grow the area sales business through rigorous planning, evaluation and co-ordination of planning and project activity.
  • Assist the Sales and Training Manager in building the sell-out commercial plans across the area distribution.
  • Provide oversight, tracking and reporting of the area sales to the Sales and Training Manager.
  • Partner with retailers and independent stores to support events and activations.
  • Establish and implement strategies with in store teams to drive brand loyalty and increase sales.
  • Create region and city sell out plans to deliver on the sales targets: working collaboratively with the in store teams, Sales and Training Manager and brand marketing teams ensuring activity is in place to support the business.
  • Managing own area to deliver sales revenue targets.
  • Recruitment and training of new Business Managers, Account Managers and Sales Consultants across both brands ensuring all paperwork and HR processes are followed.
  • Report any stock issues raised by store to the Country Manager and manage stock loss procedure with in store teams.

INITIO IMAGE IN-STORE

  • Ensure all displays are in accordance with Company Visual Merchandising guidelines and planograms when visiting stores.
  • Communicate any VM opportunities- additional space or sites to your Sales and Training Manager.
  • Report any snagging issues promptly.
  • Ensure the Fragrance portfolio is fully stocked and that all products are stored by brand to maximise our sales in store.

Communication

  • Provide regular feedback to your Sales & Training Manager, on issues affecting business performance.
  • Ensure that you have briefed store staff on our events and marketing calendar to gain engagement with our brands.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all store based and Initio colleagues.

Code of Conduct and Personal Appearance

  • Comply to Store start and finishing times and meal breaks.
  • Represent Company image through personal appearance, interpersonal skills and style.
  • Comply to the uniform and grooming standards as outlined.
  • Ensure that absences are notified on first day to the Sales and Training Manager.
  • Flexible – able to adapt.

PROFILE & COMPETENCIES

  • Minimum of 3 years within the luxury sales sector – boutique, retail beauty or fragrance industry experience, preferred.
  • Previous Area Manager experience with a proven track record of business and team development.
  • Exceptional client service/customer experience approach and mentality.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Possess a core understanding of Parfums de Marly & Initio brands.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain positive interpersonal relationships in store, and with Stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills always looking to identify new functional growth opportunities.
  • Organized and detail oriented with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willing to take on new challenges/opportunities as they arise.
