This role will work within our innovative Data & Technology group that continues to evolve to meet business needs, fuel Parexel's growth and enable improved support for stakeholders, including customers and ultimately patients, who will benefit from Parexel's integrated processes and systems. This role will be based in the UK and can be fully home based and remote working anywhere in the UK only.

The Director, Data Product Coordination Lead is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring alignment, orchestration, and execution across enterprise data initiatives. You will operate at the center of the data ecosystem, coordinating data products across business domains and aligning stakeholders with delivery teams to ensure efficient, transparent, and consistent execution.

You will provide full accountability for the Data Product Coordination function, including leadership of a team of managers and senior professionals as well as establish operating models, driving execution across Data Ingestion, Data Engineering, and Data Distribution, and ensures delivery outcomes are achieved across the enterprise data ecosystem.

You will lead a team of Data Product Coordinators who are aligned to specific business domains (e.g., Clinical, Corporate, Commercial) and operate within a highly matrixed environment to drive execution across data functions. Finally you will operate in a highly matrixed environment, driving execution and accountability across multiple data functions and business domains where teams are not directly managed but must be aligned to deliver shared outcomes.

    • Coordinate and align data products across business domains
    • Ensure consistency in priorities, ownership, and delivery expectations
  • Stakeholder & Delivery Alignment
    • Align business stakeholders and data delivery teams
    • Act as primary coordination point between business and technology
    • Drive execution across a matrixed organization, influencing teams without direct authority
  • Intake, Prioritization & Demand Management
    • Lead intake and prioritization of data initiatives
    • Align demand with organizational priorities and capacity
  • Orchestration Across Data Functions
    • Coordinate across Data Ingestion, Engineering, and Distribution
    • Ensure end-to-end delivery
  • Communication, Transparency & Governance
    • Establish communication and reporting frameworks
    • Define and track KPIs and delivery metrics
  • Operational Leadership
    • Lead the Data Product Coordination function
    • Establish processes, governance, and operating model standards
  • People Leadership & Capability Development
    • Lead a team of Data Product Coordinators aligned to specific business domains such as Clinical, Corporate, and Commercial systems
    • Ensure coordinators develop deep domain expertise and act as primary alignment points between business stakeholders and data delivery teams
    • Drive a high-performance culture focused on ownership, execution, and cross-functional collaboration within a matrixed environment
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline are required or equivalent industry experience.

Skills:
  • Strategic leader with proven ability to drive organizational transformation, large-scale change, operational excellence and continuous improvement across complex global environments.
  • Deep Quality Engineering expertise spanning enterprise testing methodologies, automation frameworks, tooling ecosystems, Agile, DevOps, CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
  • Strong capability in regulated system delivery, GxP environments, vendor governance, global delivery models and risk-based quality oversight.
  • Advanced leadership, coaching, people management, budget/resource management and organizational capability-building skills.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, executive communication, influencing, negotiation, business acumen and ability to balance innovation, speed, quality and compliance.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Previous advanced level experience operating in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, or Technology positions at Associate Director or Director level are essential.
  • Strong line and people management leadership experience of Data & Analytics teams are essential.
  • Strong communication and execution skills
  • Strong previous clinical trial experience is essential and previous exposure working in global CRO environments are preferred
  • Deep understanding of clinical systems and lifecycle
  • Familiarity with enterprise data operating models
  • Experience aligning clinical, corporate, and analytics domains
  • Experience with corporate and commercial systems (Finance, HR, Sales, MDM).
