As a Mobile Engineer (PPM), you'll travel between client sites across Birmingham and the surrounding areas, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on building services. You'll also respond to reactive maintenance issues when needed, ensuring client buildings remain safe, compliant, and operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Respond to reactive maintenance and fault-finding tasks.
- Complete maintenance records using CAFM software.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including RAMS.
- Identify defects and recommend improvements.
- Carry out minor building fabric repairs.
- Liaise professionally with clients, site staff, and subcontractors.
- Maintain company tools and equipment.
Essential Requirements
- Experience in PPM or building maintenance.
- Knowledge of M&E and/or HVAC systems.
- City & Guilds, NVQ Level 2/3, or equivalent engineering qualification.
- Good fault-finding skills.
- Experience using CAFM or mobile maintenance systems.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites.
Desirable Qualifications
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (electrical engineers).
- F-Gas qualification (HVAC engineers).
- Experience in commercial facilities management.
