We’re looking for a Junior Account Manager to join our Facilities Management team, supporting the Senior Account Manager with the day-to-day delivery of services across the contract.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already has experience within Facilities Management, Contract Support or Maintenance Coordination and is ready to take the next step towards becoming an Account Manager.
You’ll be involved in the operational side of the contract from day one – coordinating contractors, managing planned and reactive maintenance, maintaining our CAFM system, supporting compliance and financial processes, and building strong relationships with our clients.
You won’t be expected to know everything from day one. What we are looking for is someone organised, commercially aware and customer-focused, with a good understanding of how an FM contract operates and the ambition to develop further.
What you’ll be doing
-
Supporting the Senior Account Manager with the day-to-day running of the contract.
-
Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
-
Raising, allocating, monitoring and closing work orders through the CAFM system.
-
Monitoring PPM and reactive maintenance against agreed SLAs.
-
Coordinating contractor attendance and ensuring reports and completion evidence are received.
-
Monitoring overdue works and escalating potential service risks.
-
Maintaining accurate job records, asset information and compliance documentation.
-
Coordinating site access and keeping clients informed of planned works.
-
Obtaining contractor quotations and maintaining quotation, purchase order and action trackers.
-
Supporting invoice queries, billing information and financial reporting.
-
Checking contractor documentation including RAMS, insurance and competency information.
-
Supporting compliance audits and tracking remedial actions through to completion.
-
Helping prepare monthly client reports and participating in review meetings.
-
Identifying recurring issues and opportunities to improve service delivery.
-
Providing operational support across the contract during busy periods and team absence.
What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally already have experience in Facilities Management, Contract Support, Facilities Coordination, Maintenance Coordination or a similar operational FM role.
We’d also like you to have:
-
Experience using a CAFM or work-order management system.
-
A good understanding of planned and reactive maintenance.
-
Strong organisational and customer-service skills.
-
Confidence dealing with contractors and following up outstanding actions.
-
Good Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel skills.
-
Basic commercial understanding of quotations, purchase orders and invoices.
-
The ability to manage multiple priorities and recognise when something needs escalating.
-
A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
Experience with statutory compliance, KPIs, SLAs and contractor RAMS would be beneficial, but we’re equally interested in people who have the right FM foundations and are ready to develop.
Where this role can take you
This isn't intended to be a Junior Account Manager role forever.
We want the successful person to develop towards becoming a full Account Manager, gaining broader experience across operations, compliance, contractor management, client relationships, reporting and contract finance.
If you’re currently working in Contract Support or Facilities Coordination and wondering what your next step looks like, this could be it.
