Our client, one of the UK's fastest-growing technology providers, is seeking an IT Sales Specialist to enable our sales teams to confidently position complex IT and Cyber solutions and win business against strong competition. This critical role is perfect for a deep technical specialist with a strong commercial mindset.
The Role: Your Commercial Impact
- You will be the go-to authority for our IT & Cyber product area, supporting Account Managers and BDMs to qualify opportunities, shape compelling solutions, and close complex IT deals.
- Act as the subject matter expert for all IT & Cyber product areas (e.g., cloud, cyber security, managed services, Microsoft 365, backup/DR).
- Share best practice strategies and playbooks with sales teams.
- Peer-review proposals and technical content for accuracy.
Sales Enablement & Support:
- Help craft tailored proposals and solution recommendations.
Commercial Impact:
- Identify customer needs and develop solutions that maximize account growth potential.
- Support the sales cycle from qualification through to close on complex opportunities.
IT Product Knowledge:
- ~3+ years of experience in IT managed services, cloud, cyber security, or infrastructure solutions (MSP environment highly desirable).
- ~ Microsoft 365/Azure, cloud migration, cyber security (firewalls, EDR, SIEM), backup/DR, network infrastructure, or managed services.
- ~ Understanding of the competitive landscape to position Focus Group solutions effectively (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Fortinet).
- Pre-sales or sales engineering background.
- Experience in cyber security frameworks (ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, NIST).
- Track record of exceeding new business targets or KPIs in a technical sales role.
