Our client is a leading provider of managed IT services, seeking a Business Development Executive to join their team. This role is integral to their growth, focusing on proactive lead generation and qualification to build strong client relationships and drive revenue growth through strategic outreach and negotiation.
As a Business Development Executive, you will be on the front line of expanding the client base for managed IT services. Your primary mission will be to identify and qualify new business opportunities, creating meaningful relationships with prospects through consultative conversations to understand their business needs and offer appropriate IT solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively generate and qualify new business leads by identifying potential clients and decision-makers through research, networking, and cold outreach.
- Develop a strong knowledge of the managed IT solutions portfolio to effectively match services to customer requirements.
- Build and maintain long-lasting, trusting relationships with prospects.
- Support marketing with multi-touchpoint campaigns and attend regional networking/award events and trade shows to promote the brand.
- Schedule meetings for the New Business team and support the full sales cycle from initial contact to qualified handover, working to meet or exceed quarterly sales targets.
What We\’re Looking For:
- Demonstrable experience in sales, business development, or a similar lead generation and prospecting role is essential. We are seeking individuals who have a proven track record in initiating and qualifying new business opportunities.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and networking ability.
- A results-driven, self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM and sales tracking systems is essential.
- An understanding of business technology challenges and IT solutions is advantageous.
- A business or marketing qualification is preferred.
- A passion for building a career in technology and sales.
