We manufacture a broad portfolio of conventional and organic feeds for both fresh and seawater phases of salmon growth in Scotland, Ireland, the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Norway.

The Role – MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

MOWI Fish Feed is seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to take on the exciting and challenging role of Maintenance Supervisor .

The successful candidate will work within the Maintenance team and support all departments in the efficient operation of all process related equipment.

The main duties and responsibilities undertaken will involve:

  • Assisting the maintenance manager with day-to-day operations, e.g.:
  • Planning of jobs
  • Prioritisation of tasks (in a dynamic work environment)
  • Supporting team of Maintenance engineers and contractors
  • Liaising with contractors
  • Training and sharing of knowledge
  • Electrical and mechanical process troubleshooting
  • Working with and maintaining records within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and tidy workspace
  • Getting hands on where required, leading by example
  • Deputising for Maintenance Manager when required

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Good computer literacy (sending emails, working with files and folders etc.)
  • Competency working with common hand tools
  • Familiarity with mechanical / Electrical components
  • Experience in production, manufacturing, maintenance or servicing environment
  • Good understanding of health, safety and environmental protocols and experience undertaking risk assessments and exercising risk reduction measures
  • Excellent work ethic, professional attitude and interpersonal skills

Preferable experience (Not essential as full training provided)

  • Moving pallets/ forklift work / Slinging and signalling
  • MEWP Operation
  • Competency working with electrical systems
    For example: 24VDC / 4-20mA control systems, 230 – 1000V (or above), 3 phase motors, VFDs etc
