We are recruiting for a Chemical Process Engineer to join a leading chemical manufacturing business.
Reporting to the Engineering & Maintenance Manager, you will act as the site's principal Chemical Engineer, driving process safety, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement across an Upper Tier COMAH site.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide chemical engineering support for projects, modifications, and improvement initiatives.
- Drive process safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, efficiency, and cost performance.
- Support Management of Change (MOC) and process safety requirements.
- Monitor and report KPI and utility performance.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and Operations teams to optimise performance.
- Lead investigations into process-related incidents and safety concerns.
About You
- Degree qualified Chemical Engineer or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of COMAH regulations, process safety, and continuous improvement.
- Experience working on plant modifications and process optimisation projects.
- Excellent communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Chartered Engineer status desirable.
