Pareto FM are seeking a skilled and reliable Static Engineer to join a dedicated client site team. This is a site-based role with no regular travel between locations. You’ll be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a single, high-profile site, ensuring all building services are safe, compliant, and operating efficiently. You’ll be part of a small on-site engineering team with strong regional and managerial support, working within a structured environment that values technical quality, safety, and teamwork.

The Role

As Static Engineer, you will support the day-to-day maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems across the site, ensuring all planned and reactive tasks are completed to a high standard. You’ll work closely with the site engineering team and wider support network to maintain full operational performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Deliver reactive maintenance and fault finding when required
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including logbooks and CAFM updates
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, including RAMS and safe systems of work
  • Identify and report faults, risks, and system inefficiencies
  • Support HVAC systems to maintain optimal environmental conditions
  • Respond to BMS alarms and carry out first-line diagnostics
  • Carry out routine plant checks, inspections, and housekeeping of plant areas
  • Ensure all statutory compliance tasks are completed and escalated where required
  • Support subcontractor supervision and ensure works are completed to standard
  • Carry out small repairs and installation tasks as directed
  • Maintain strong communication with site and regional management teams
  • Ensure safe isolation and working practices are followed at all times
  • Participate in a call-out rota (post 6-month probation period)

Team & Support Structure

  • Site-based team of 2 engineers
  • Supported by Supervisor and Contract Manager
  • Additional support available from wider local engineering team
  • Clear communication and structured operational support network

What We’re Looking For

  • Electrical Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
  • Strong experience in building services maintenance (M&E)
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience using CAFM systems or digital maintenance reporting tools
  • Strong understanding of health & safety and compliance standards
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Strong communication and professional approach

Desirable

  • 18th Edition
  • Experience within commercial FM environments
  • HVAC or multi-skilled maintenance experience
