Reporting to: Contract Manager
Join a high-performing engineering team where standards matter. We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Static Maintenance Engineer to support the day-to-day delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance across a key client site. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a critical part in ensuring mechanical and electrical systems are maintained safely, efficiently, and in full compliance — while delivering an excellent service to the client and end users. The Role
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Fault finding across mechanical and electrical systems
- Maintaining HVAC plant to ensure comfortable environmental conditions
- Responding to BMS alarms and carrying out first-line diagnostics
- Reviewing subcontractor performance during specialist works
- Ensuring plant start-up, shutdown, and changeover procedures are followed
- Maintaining accurate records via simPRO and client logbooks
- Supporting statutory compliance and highlighting any maintenance risks
- Carrying out small installation and repair works as required
- Maintaining clean, safe and compliant plant rooms
- Isolating and making safe electrical and pressure systems when required
You’ll also maintain strong communication with the client, Supervisor and Management team, ensuring work impact is communicated clearly and professionally.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical discipline
- City & Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical discipline
- 18th Edition IEE Regulations
- Strong understanding of Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- Proven experience in maintenance, testing and fault-finding on:
- Boiler plant
- Ventilation systems
- Pumps
- Switchgear
- Generators
- Small power & lighting
Desirable:
- C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing
- IOSH Working Safely
- IPAF / PASMA
- Unvented Hot Water Systems
- Knowledge of BMS, controls, LPHW systems, pressurisation systems
- ACOPS L8 awareness
- High Voltage certification
