Key purpose of the Job Role: In conjunction with the Account Manager, deliver an effective maintenance and reactive service. Work as part of a dedicated multi-skilled team to deliver the appropriate service level.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver PPM and Reactive maintenance services to up to 70 sites across London.
- Ensure that the appropriate risk assessments are completed, and control measures are in place prior to tasks.
- Adopt a flexible approach and assist the team to achieve its goals.
- Maintain a safe environment for the team, sub-contractors, and third parties.
- Keep records, drawings, data sheets, circuit charts, pipe work routes, etc., updated and return to your supervisor.
- Observe the estate and report areas requiring action.
- Work outside core discipline when necessary (with training/supervision) to improve efficiency.
- Be prepared for out-of-hours call-out cover.
- Follow Pareto policies and procedures in all responsibilities.
- Prioritize health and safety for yourself, colleagues, customers, and the public.
- Undertake plumbing/mechanical repairs and installations to standard and documented procedures.
- Record all maintenance work accurately in the company system.
- Supervise and direct subcontractors when appropriate.
- Work in an organized, logical manner with a positive attitude.
- Collaborate with the team to provide efficient service to clients and stakeholders.
- Perform additional duties as reasonably required by management.
Qualifications (Essential):
- Domestic Gas Safe accreditation
- Commercial Gas Safe accreditation
Desirable qualifications:
- Unvented hot water systems
- Water Regulations
- Part L Building Regulations
- TPCP1: Testing and purging commercial installation pipework exceeding 1m3 in volume, up to 16 bar operating pressure natural gas & 2 bar LPG
- Building Management Systems (BMS)/controls
- Steam boilers and pressurized systems
- Authorised Person (AP) in a mechanical discipline
Experience and knowledge:
Essential: Extensive post-qualification experience in the chosen discipline, mainly in the commercial/industrial sector. Ability to work under pressure and think quickly as the sole on-site mechanical engineer.
Desirable: Experience in public-focused organizations, BMS/building environmental control systems. Maintain productivity by effectively solving problems and minimizing wastage. Flexibility and positive attitude towards changes in plans and programs.
