The predicted salary is between 10 - 13 £ per hour.

To conform to the cleaning specification and schedules and carry out cleaning duties as required with a view to continuously develop and improve quality standards.

To take a direct interest in the health and safety of yourself, your colleagues, and others who may be affected by your work activities.

Key Duties
  • Carry out window cleaning in line with the correct specifications and health and safety standards.
  • Update supervisor of any changes on site.
  • Liaise with supervisor/line manager to review sites and review work on Jobber allocation system.
  • Be punctual and attend for duty as requested.
  • Achieve the highest standard of work, with a positive team spirit.
  • Continuously develop and improve quality standards.
  • Meet managers, clients, and company expectations.
  • Respond to any reasonable request of the company or client.
  • Ensure that products, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and stored.
  • Use initiative to resolve problems where appropriate.
  • Ensure appearance and conduct comply with the expectations of the company and appropriate clothing/PPE is always worn.
  • Communicate any unresolved cleaning issues.
Knowledge and Experience

The job holder will be required to have experience within cleaning.

Interpersonal Skills

When dealing with client personnel and at all levels, the job holder must use tact and diplomacy to gain cooperation from client personnel and visitors.

Responsibility
  • Check the quality of their work and supervise less experienced staff when required.
  • Responsible for the care of tools, maintaining them appropriately, whether the property belongs to the client or Pareto.
  • Confidentiality is required on all matters pertaining to Pareto and the client.
Communication

Communication is oral and written, largely internal with the site manager and client’s staff. Occasional liaison with contractors and visitors may be required.

Liaison

The client’s image can be affected by the job holder’s dealings with visitors and the media. Liaison with inspectors and governing bodies that may visit client sites is also expected.

Mental Demands
  • Work is allocated to the job holder who, in most cases, decides how to tackle it. Consultation within the team may occur regarding work plans, and priorities may shift. Routine decisions are made daily based on personal experience, initiative, or discussion with the client’s appointed contact.
  • Many tasks require original thought. Problems are generally technical and are solved independently using past experience and knowledge. Occasionally help will be sought from the Site Manager or client-appointed contact for unusual problems.
  • Attention must be maintained at all times; a high level of concentration is required especially when working on machinery and where specific detail is crucial under Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Tasks cover a wide range of activities with variable daily interruptions, often from internal sources such as the Site Manager or other Pareto staff. The job holder will respond immediately or address matters later, and may be asked to perform tasks beyond their usual duties.
Working Conditions

The job holder may work outside, in adverse weather, assessing personal risk especially with machines. Noise, such as from machinery, and pollution (e.g., dust) may be present under such conditions.
