- Lead and oversee maintenance of all building services plant and equipment.
- Supervise subcontractors and review works to ensure compliance with RAMS and standards.
- Complete and manage simPRO tasks, ensuring photographic evidence and accurate records.
- Maintain statutory compliance records, logbooks and technical documentation.
- Support and ensure completion of statutory planned maintenance programmes.
- Monitor and maintain optimal environmental conditions via HVAC systems.
- Respond to BMS alarms and first-line diagnostics.
- Carry out fault finding and reactive repairs across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Identify and escalate health & safety risks and plant reliability issues.
- Oversee plant operations including start-up, shutdown, changeover and optimisation.
- Conduct regular site walk-rounds to ensure safety, cleanliness and operational performance.
- Act as the key technical point of contact for the client and internal teams.
- Support small installation and repair works where required.
- Ensure all works are completed safely and within compliance standards.
- Maintain strong communication with management, reporting progress and issues.
- Support and mentor junior engineers on site.
- Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 8, post probation) with £200 weekly standby.
Team Structure & Support
- You will lead a team of 2 on-site engineers plus on-site contract support.
- Reporting directly to the Line Manager / Contract Manager.
- Supported by wider Pareto FM engineering and operations teams.
- Strong emphasis on collaboration, knowledge sharing and team development.
Skills & Experience
- Fully qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Level 2/3 or equivalent).
- Strong experience within Building Services / M&E maintenance.
- Proven experience as a Lead Engineer or senior technical role.
- Strong understanding of building compliance and statutory maintenance.
- 18th Edition (if electrically biased).
- IOSH Working Safely (desirable).
