Pareto FM is looking for a Multiskilled Mobile / Bench Engineer to support maintenance delivery across a regional portfolio of sites. This varied, hands-on role means no two days look the same. You’ll provide cover across both mobile and static sites – supporting planned maintenance, reactive works, and tenant requirements – ensuring all building services are safe, compliant and fully operational. While elected as electrically biased, this role requires a well-rounded engineer who is comfortable working across wider M&E and building services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across M&E systems
- Maintain and repair mechanical and electrical plant and associated equipment
- Carry out fault finding across building services systems, including HVAC and BMS diagnostics
- Ensure plant operates efficiently and maintains safe environmental conditions
- Complete simPRO tasks accurately, including job updates and photographic evidence
- Maintain logbooks and compliance records across electrical, mechanical, and water systems
- Support statutory maintenance and escalate issues where tasks cannot be completed
- Monitor subcontractor performance during specialist works
- Carry out small installation and repair works as required
- Conduct regular plant room and site checks to ensure safety, cleanliness and performance
- Identify and report risks, hazards or system inefficiencies
- Communicate effectively with clients, end users and internal teams
- Isolate and make safe electrical and pressure systems where required
What We’re Looking For
- Electrical City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent building services qualification)
- 18th Edition (essential)
- Strong experience in building services / M&E maintenance
- Multiskilled capability across electrical and mechanical systems
- Knowledge of HVAC, BMS and associated plant
- Experience using CAFM systems (simPRO desirable)
- Good understanding of statutory compliance and safe working practices
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Full UK driving licence
