Location: London, Liverpool St

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday

Salary: up to £45,000 DOE

We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Building Services Engineer to join us on a permanent basis to work with one of our prestigious customers. This is an important role within the sites and will equally be expected to support and work with wider management teams raising standards and making continual improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and complete Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks, ensuring all building systems function optimally.
  • Own maintenance service requests from submission to completion and feed back to the client and Facilities Management team, being the first line of response for all associated M&E and Fabric issues.
  • Carry out regular and periodic inspections (including statutory, mandatory requirements and insurance inspections) to maintain the efficiency and safety of M&E installations.
  • Liaise with client staff over specific requirements.
  • Maintain records and computer based record management systems to nationally agreed standards including statutory testing and inspection, technical records, files, diaries, drawings and reports.
  • Ensure works are completed to standard and against budget and meet with key client requirements and satisfaction reporting back at regular intervals to the Pareto FM Account Manager and client elected liaison.
  • Support H&S/Permit arrangements to enable subcontractors to undertake routine and emergency breakdown maintenance both in and out of hours.

  • Ensure that RAMS are appropriate, and contractors are complying with them at all times.
  • Check and verify all work has been completed.

Skills & Experiences

  • Previous experience in a Building Services Engineer role AM2 & NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation/Maintenance.
  • BS7671 18th edition.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles and systems.
  • IOSH Managing Safely, desirable.
  • Some knowledge of mechanical engineering/plumbing and building construction, desirable.
  • Be punctual, reliable, and flexible with a ‘can do’ attitude to tasks and problems.
  • Adaptable to various duties of the post, comfortable working with changing priorities and can adapt to the needs of the business.
  • Must be happy to supervise and manage contractors.
