The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced and customer-focused Building Manager to lead the operational delivery of Facilities Management services across the impressive Gymshark Campus at Blythe Valley Business Park. Supporting one of the UK's most recognisable and fast-growing brands, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of a prestigious three-building corporate campus. This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll oversee statutory compliance, operational excellence, supplier performance, health & safety, financial management and customer satisfaction, ensuring Gymshark's workplace continues to operate safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard. What You'll Be Doing
- Facilities Management & Compliance
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of hard and soft FM services across the Gymshark campus.
- Ensure full statutory compliance across all buildings, including planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), statutory inspections and remedial works.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant UK legislation and industry standards, including:
- Building Safety Act 2022
- Health & Safety at Work Act
- Fire Safety Regulations
- CDM Regulations
- Control of Asbestos Regulations
- Legionella (ACOP L8)
- Electricity at Work Regulations
- Gas Safety Regulations
- LOLER & PUWER
- Environmental and Waste Compliance
- Operate Permit to Work systems and ensure all contractor activities are effectively controlled.
- Support emergency preparedness, business continuity planning and incident investigations.
- Supplier & Contractor Management
- Manage the performance of hard and soft FM suppliers against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
- Lead supplier review meetings and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Review contractor RAMS, competency documentation and statutory certifications.
- Support procurement activities, supplier onboarding and contract renewals.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality while delivering value for money.
- Operational Leadership
- Take ownership of the overall operational performance of the Gymshark campus.
- Coordinate reactive and planned maintenance activities.
- Oversee security, cleaning, landscaping, waste management, reception and technical services.
- Carry out regular site inspections and quality audits.
- Lead responses to operational incidents and emergency situations.
- Financial Management
- Manage operational budgets and financial performance.
- Produce monthly forecasts, accruals and financial reports.
- Monitor expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support contract retention and continuous business growth.
- Leadership & People Management
- Lead, coach and develop the on-site facilities team.
- Conduct performance reviews and support individual development plans.
- Promote a positive health & safety culture through visible leadership.
- Ensure mandatory training and competency requirements are maintained.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary operational contact for Gymshark.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, occupiers, suppliers and contractors.
- Produce and present operational, financial and compliance reports.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience through proactive communication and service excellence.
- Sustainability & Continuous Improvement
- Support Gymshark's environmental and sustainability objectives.
- Monitor building performance and identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency.
- Promote innovation through technology and smarter FM processes.
- Drive operational improvements that enhance both service delivery and customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- Proven experience as a Building Manager, Facilities Manager or Senior Facilities Management professional.
- Strong knowledge of statutory compliance within commercial buildings.
- Experience managing both hard and soft FM services.
- Excellent contractor and supplier management experience.
- Experience managing KPIs, SLAs and service contracts.
- Financial management experience, including budgeting, forecasting and P&L responsibility.
- Excellent stakeholder management and client-facing communication skills.
- Experience managing compliance audits and governance processes.
- Strong IT skills, including CAFM systems and Microsoft Office.
Essential Qualifications
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Health & Safety qualification).
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Qualifications
- IWFM Level 4 or above (or equivalent Facilities Management qualification).
- Membership of IWFM, IOSH or RICS.
- Asbestos Awareness.
- Legionella Responsible Person Training.
- Fire Safety Qualification.
- CDM Awareness.
- First Aid at Work.
Team Structure & Support
Reporting to the Account Director, you'll lead the on-site Facilities Management team while working closely with Gymshark stakeholders, specialist contractors and Pareto's wider operational support teams. You'll have access to experienced technical specialists, compliance experts and health & safety professionals, ensuring you have the support needed to deliver exceptional service.
