Pareto Economics is a strategic intelligence firm that advises NATO, HSBC, JP Morgan, Shell, and sovereign governments on global power dynamics. Our founder is a keynote speaker at the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM Congress) in Abu Dhabi — one of the world's premier investment and economic forums — and we are looking for a hungry videographer/editor to capture the entire experience.
The gig
- We need someone to shadow our founder across the full AIM Congress schedule — backstage, green rooms, meetings, on stage, walking the floor, in transit — and turn the raw footage into punchy, high-energy social content in the style of GaryVee's daily vlogs.
- This is not a corporate video. This is founder-led content that captures what it actually looks like to operate at the intersection of geopolitics, business, and global decision-making.
What you’ll be doing
- Filming across 2–3 days of the congress (plus potential pre/post content around Dubai).
- Capturing candid, run-and-gun footage throughout the day — keynotes, side conversations, behind-the-scenes moments, city B-roll.
- Editing 3–5 short-form vertical videos (60–90 sec) optimised for LinkedIn, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Adding text overlays, subtitles, music, and pacing that keeps attention.
- Quick turnaround — ideally same-day or next-day edits for short-form pieces.
What we’re looking for
- Based in or able to be in Dubai/Abu Dhabi during the congress.
- Own your own camera gear (mirrorless + gimbal minimum; wireless lav mic is a plus).
- Strong portfolio showing fast-paced, personality-driven content — not just weddings and corporate reels.
- You understand platform-native editing: what works on LinkedIn is different from Reels is different from YouTube.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, high-profile environments without being starstruck or in the way.
- Reliable, self-directed, and able to anticipate moments worth capturing without being told.
What’s in it for you
- Full creative credit across all published content.
- Direct exposure to a global audience — our content reaches C-suite executives, government officials, and institutional investors worldwide.
- Access to one of the most prestigious economic forums in the world — the networking alone is worth showing up for.
- A portfolio piece that puts you in rooms most videographers never see.
- Potential for ongoing work if this goes well — we’re building a content engine for 2026 and beyond.
Compensation
This is a project-based role. We’re open to discussing a modest day rate, but we’re primarily looking for someone early in their career who recognises the value of the access and exposure this provides. If your work is strong and the fit is right, this becomes a paid recurring relationship.
How to apply
- Send a DM or email with your portfolio or Instagram/YouTube link (show us your best personality-driven or event content).
- A 30-second voice note or video telling us why you want this gig.
- Your availability for the congress dates.
- No CVs. No cover letters. Show us what you can do.
