Grwp Llandrillo Menai was established in 2012 as a result of mergers between Coleg Llandrillo, Coleg Menai and Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor. It employs 2,000 staff and delivers courses to around 21,000 students, including over 1,500 higher education students, across Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire and Gwynedd. The Grwp aims to support the economy of North Wales by equipping local people with the skills and qualifications needed to ensure the competitiveness and success of the region.

Job Purpose

The Senior Examinations Support Assistant is responsible for providing team support for external and internal examinations in accordance with the regulations laid down by the Joint Council for Qualifications, Awarding bodies, Partner Institutions. To coordinate and process Pwllheli examination registrations with Awarding Bodies and the conducting of examinations in accordance with JCQ regulations and internal examination procedures. To organise examination paperwork, coordinate online testing facilities and disseminate information, answer queries and deal with issues relating to the conduction of examinations and assessments with staff, students, parents/carers and Awarding Bodies. To ensure that all attainment data is collected and collated through electronic methods (where available) and processed to agreed deadlines.

Contract

  • Full Time, Permanent
  • Weekly hours: 37 hours per week
  • Location: Coleg Meirion Dwyfor Campuses (Pwllheli, LL53 5ED and Dolgellau, LL40 2SW)
  • Pension provider: Local Government Pension Scheme
  • Annual Leave: 28 days leave per annum, rising to 32 days after 5 full holiday years continuous service (01 September to 31 August). All normally observed public holidays, determined annually. Up to 5 days efficiency closure days per annum, determined annually.
