Apprentice Nursery/Childcare Practitioner – Level 2/3 Training
This is an exciting opportunity to begin or continue your career with Parenta Training, working in an early years setting based in EN5 2EQ.
Become an apprentice in one of our fun and friendly settings working with children aged from birth to five years, gaining experience while you learn.
Parenta provides you with the chance to Earn as you Learn while gaining a nationally recognised qualification.
There are no classes to attend.
The moment your journey begins as an apprentice
- You become an employed member of staff
- You will be paid an hourly rate
- You will work towards gaining a full qualification without having to attend classroom based lessons.
The apprenticeship will last a minimum of 12 months and you will be working towards a Level 2 or 3 diploma in Childcare.
Throughout your role you are not alone.
Parenta offers you full training, support, guidance, and a personal assessor/tutor assigned from the moment you start your journey as an apprentice.
Your role will include
- Working with children between the ages of 0‑5 years, organising activities, and providing proactive care and support within the early years teaching sector.
- Assisting and meeting the personal and emotional needs of individual children: changing nappies, feeding, caring and building a relationship with children.
- Working (under supervision) to provide all aspects of care and support to children, ensuring they participate in day‑to‑day learning and play activities.
- Ensuring that the setting is safe, clean and well presented.
- Collaborating with colleagues to maintain the highest standards of work in a positive manner.
- Creating a warm, friendly and stimulating atmosphere to support children’s emotional, social and educational development through individual and group activities.
- Attend team meetings and contribute relevant ideas.
- Understand and implement the setting’s confidentiality policy.
- Contribute towards an effective and supportive team environment.
- Have access to your own transport or be able to get a lift; the setting may not be accessible by public transport.
Throughout this role, you will gain extensive knowledge and experience that will open up career opportunities after completion, potentially leading to permanent employment within the early learning sector or further training at a higher level.
