As an Engineering Lead, you'll guide and inspire a team of engineers to deliver high-quality software that supports wider business goals. You'll lead across the full software development lifecycle, from design and development through to testing, release and continuous improvement, making sure work is delivered efficiently, on time and to a high standard.

You’ll provide technical leadership, support sound engineering decisions and help shape the standards, tools and ways of working used by your team. You’ll also work closely with stakeholders across the business, including areas such as Service Delivery and Platforms, helping to keep communication clear and delivery aligned.

Alongside delivery, you’ll manage resources, oversee quality, reduce risk and contribute to engineering strategy. A key part of the role is bringing a strong understanding of how AI can be included in the software development lifecycle to improve efficiency, quality and innovation.

We’re looking for an experienced engineering leader, who can combine technical credibility with strong people leadership. You’ll bring a strong understanding of software development, project delivery, quality assurance and stakeholder management, along with experience of setting direction, improving standards and driving continuous improvement. You’ll also have experience, or a detailed understanding of how AI can be embedded into the software development lifecycle in a meaningful and practical way.

This role will involve on-call working on a rota basis (24/7).
