As a Planned Electrical Craftsperson, you'll be the go-to expert for maintaining and repairing electrical systems across our wastewater treatment sites. From pumps and motors to control panels and switchgear, you'll ensure our assets run efficiently and reliably—helping prevent environmental risks and keeping communities safe. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to develop new skills in a supportive team environment.
Competitive salary: £35,777 - £42,399 per year

What you'll be doing:
- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs on electrical equipment across wastewater treatment sites
- Work on pumps, motors, panels, switchgear, and specialist process machinery
- Install new electrical equipment in line with BS7671 standards
- Diagnose and repair electrical control systems
- Collaborate with other disciplines in a mobile team
- Ensure safety at all times, including compliance with RAMS and IEE regulations
- Participate in standby/call-out rota
What we are looking for:
Essentials:
- 5 GCSE's (or equivalent) including Maths, English, and Science at grade C or above.
- Apprenticeship supported by relevant formal qualifications e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC, ONC/HNC/HND
- Compliant with current IEE Regs 18th Edition
- A full UK driving license is required
Desirables:
- City & Guilds Inspect and Test 2391-10
- CompEx 09/10
- Industrial/Commercial experience required
- Experience with VSD's, soft starts and motor control systems
- Understanding of Wiring Diagrams
- Knowledge of working with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Good working knowledge of LV systems (working with 415vac down to 24vac and dc control and indication)
