As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in making every night safe, comfortable, and meaningful for the people we support.
About the role
This service is a beautiful house with lovely gardens, situated in Cheddar and is home to 13 people we support - 10 in the main house, and 3 in self-contained flats. The people we support here tend to be older and have varying needs. This role will include supporting people through the night alongside a second member of staff who would be doing a sleep in.
- Tasks include: checking on people through the night and providing support, doing laundry, ironing, general cleaning, helping with paperwork, ensuring everything is ready for their day in the morning!
- Every night, you'll help create a safe, calm, and comforting environment for the people we support.
- Recording important information using our easy-to-use IT systems - from support plans to health and safety logs - so we can provide the best care possible.
- Creating a therapeutic, reassuring atmosphere that promotes wellbeing throughout the night.
- Supporting people to enjoy their late evenings or nights in ways that matter to them.
- Providing personal care when needed, always with dignity and respect.
