Location: Great Baddow

We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements, however for this role you will be expected to attend your site 3-5 days per week.

Salary: £34,000 + £2,000 Welcome Bonus

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of Data science research topics for customers across the defence, security and commercial sectors.
  • The Data Applied Research group has a diverse range of teams working in reinforcement learning, NLP, knowledge graphs and graph based neural nets, AI for RF and EW, sonar and acoustics and you will have the opportunity to work with and be trained by these colleagues in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • You will undertake novel research in given topic areas, often in partnership with leading Universities, develop prototypes and proof of concept demonstrator and prepare technical reports and proposals.

Qualification Requirements:

  • As a minimum requirement you'll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2:1 in your undergraduate degree in a relevant STEM subject such as Computer Science, Data Science (DS), Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics, Electronic/Electrical/Aerospace Engineering and Physics.
  • An AI related Masters degree will also be beneficial.
  • You will need to demonstrate an active interest in Applied AI research.
