Role Description

  • Provide Product Assurance expertise across space programmes and projects, covering system, sub‑system, and supply‑chain activities.
  • Support projects from delivery phase kick‑off through to launch or final delivery milestone, with post‑delivery support where required.
  • Ensure quality, reliability, safety, and compliance requirements are fully embedded within project execution and supplier activities.
  • Operate within the Space Business Unit, often supporting multiple concurrent projects or programmes.
  • Work closely with engineering, supply chain, project management, and customers to deliver robust and proportionate assurance.
  • Support assurance of design, manufacture, test, and verification activities across the project lifecycle.
  • Provide visibility of Product Assurance status, risks, and non‑conformances to project and business stakeholders.
  • Contribute to project governance by supporting reviews, audits, and key readiness milestones in a regulated, safety‑critical environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience managing non-conformances, deviations, and waivers (on complex systems not necessarily space, but space is desirable).
  • Strong understanding of lifecycle assurance for complex systems and equipment.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Eligible for unrestricted UK Security Clearance.

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with AIT, verification, and flight readiness activities.
  • Basic knowledge in Quality Engineering topics: RAMS, EEE, M&PE, Radiation.
  • Experience in Product Assurance, Quality, or Reliability Engineering within space, aerospace, defence, or other regulated engineering environments.
  • Ability to work across system, sub-system, and supplier interfaces.
  • Experience supporting space missions or safety critical systems.
  • Experience participating in supplier audits and on-site assurance activities.
