As Lead System UX Architect, you are the conductor of the sensory orchestra that is SP. You see the entire system, not as scattered applications, but as a single living organism, pulsing with consistency and grace.
You will define how every pixel, gesture, and interaction reflects our fundamental values: privacy, freedom, sovereignty and pure functional beauty.
You are the bridge between engineers, designers, and philosophers. You'll build frameworks of interaction logic, ensuring that performance and usability are twin faces of a single, seamless experience.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the conceptual and strategic UX direction for the SP operating system.
- Architect end-to-end interaction frameworks that prioritise user sovereignty and privacy.
- Design and maintain the SP Design System, ensuring absolute consistency across all system layers.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on low-level usability and performance optimisation.
- Translate complex technical system behaviours into intuitive, poetic user flows.
- 10+ years of experience in UX/Product Design for complex systems or platforms.
- Strong grasp of cognitive ergonomics, micro-interaction design, and motion theory.
- Exceptional understanding of cross-platform interface logic and multi-environment continuity.
- Proven leadership in managing design systems for large-scale software ecosystems.
- Knowledge of GPU-based compositing, gesture systems, and haptic feedback design.
- Background in psychology, behavioural science, or architecture.
- Contributions to open-source UX frameworks or design philosophy.
Tools & Technologies
- Qt, Flutter, or experimental C++/Rust front-end layers.
- Design validation integrated with system telemetry.
- Git-based internal OS experience libraries.
