£40,457 per annum, potential 15% bonus and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Full time, 41 hours per week. Permanent.
About The Role
As a line manager to a team of approximately 45 drivers plus warehouse and administrative staff, you will lead the depot team to achieve maximum efficiency through resource and contingency planning. Your focus will be on maintaining high-quality service, driving productivity, and delivering the highest possible customer service satisfaction levels. You will also be responsible for resolving customer enquiries and complaints swiftly, ensuring overall safety, and working closely with the local sales team to increase revenue opportunities and address network conformance issues.
Attendance Monday – Friday, 13:00 – 21:00 (hours may vary). One weekend per month: Saturday 06:00 – 17:00 and Sunday 06:00 – 14:00.
About You
- Background in express parcels with experience in a unionised environment
- Experience managing a large team to maximise performance, service and KPIs
- Ability to drive high customer satisfaction by ensuring service quality and swift resolutions
- Strong knowledge of health & safety compliance across all night operations
- Excellent communication skills with the capacity to motivate staff to high standards
- Experience introducing improvements and guiding people through significant change
- Capacity to build effective working relationships with unions and key stakeholders
- Experience managing resources and budgets
