Parasol is one of the UK’s leading umbrella employment providers, supporting thousands of contractors and freelancers across a wide range of industries. Acting as the contractor’s employer, Parasol handles all payroll, tax, and compliance requirements — ensuring smooth, compliant payments and access to full employment rights and benefits.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll and Pension Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the payroll and pension associated administration and employee enquiries are dealt with in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing new starters and leavers
- Producing forms for external third parties including but not limited to statements of account
- Supporting the production and process of daily payroll transactions
- Filing and general office housekeeping/administrative duties for the payroll department
- Ensuring all email and telephone enquiries are completed within agreed first time resolution and service level agreement targets
- Dealing with all aspects of Statutory Payments and Deductions
- Advising Employees on PAYE and NIC matters
- Resolving PAYE queries with HMRC
- Actioning HMRC coding notices
- Actioning pension set ups and contribution amendment requests
- Auto-enrolment pension administration
Person Specification:
- Demonstrate good IT skills
- High level of accuracy
- Effective communicator
- Good analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) & Microsoft Outlook
- Level 3 payroll administrator qualification would be desirable
