Shift Pattern: Continentals (12 hour shifts, days and nights 6-6)
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Finishing Coordinator to achieve KPIs and quality levels set by the site and ensure day to day running of Finishing lines in the Finishing cell are fully utilised and optimised.
- Ensure effective handover communication is completed on arrival from the previous shift – covering SQD.
- Update Shift Manager or relevant department with any key concerns.
- Carry out 5S audit across cell.
- Update cell board daily.
- Attend production meeting.
- Ensure all machines are running at optimum speed for the style of carton where possible.
- Have the experience and knowledge of the cell to provide support and training to any new starters or personnel – as and when required.
- Complete all related paperwork and input data onto the ERP system accurately.
- Ensure the machine and equipment is maintained to a 'new like' standard - raising any Engineering T Cards when necessary.
- Come forward with ideas and work with the Site team to continually improve the cell and process where required.
- Maintain good relations and consideration at all times.
- Fill out production feedback forms when you incur downtime or input errors.
- Support the Shift Manager in concluding internal spoilage investigations and customer complaints.
- Ensure all SOPs are adhered to.
- Man machine at short notice to cover absence.
- Ensure all lines are operating to plan.
- Sizing samples for the correct box when a new job comes in.
- Identify any manning gaps – reporting back into the Shift Manager.
- Any other duties required to meet the prevailing needs of the business.
