We are looking for a Marketing Manager to join the 5 Marketing team. The Marketing team are responsible for promoting the 5 offering, across both linear and streaming platforms, showcasing the best content available and challenging the current content perceptions, delivering campaigns that build reputation and reach. We are a dynamic and energetic team and sit at the heart of what 5 is all about – phenomenal TV.
This role is a key position within the 5-marketing team and requires someone with a strong knowledge of entertainment, and experience working across a streaming platform, to continue building on the channel’s success. The Marketing Manager will work alongside the Senior Marketing Managers to develop ambitious innovative and effective 360 marketing campaigns that drive viewing, brand awareness and commercial success.
The candidate will have a deep understanding and experience of delivering successful tactical, social, digital and ATL marketing campaigns. Working alongside their peers in the wider cross functional team, the candidate will feed in specialist insight on the latest developments relevant to our audiences. This will include recommending the best social platforms to use for our campaigns, and the best creative content to use on them to engage a 16-54 audience.
What will you be doing?
- Be an integral part of the day to day Core Promo Process including but not limited to brief writing, feedback, commissioner stakeholder management, liaising with production, creative, scheduling and media planners.
- Work closely with production companies and distributors where necessary.
- Creatively problem solve in a fast-moving environment.
- Be the point person for knowledge on content and brand for cross functional teams.
- Work with Senior Marketing Managers to develop and deliver strategic integrated marketing proposals.
- Work with the cross-functional peer teams to deliver an integrated 360 campaign across paid, owned and earned.
- Review and approve assets created by third parties for marketing campaigns, e.g. digital display, social formats.
- Problem solve - acting decisively if changes need to be made.
- Take lead on specific marketing and wider brand projects, as defined by Senior Director, Marketing, with the ability to pick up and deliver priority projects where needed.
- Work on event marketing as and when required.
- Oversee the tracking the allocation of budget and monitoring suppliers. Raising POs and arranging supplier payments where needed.
- Working with Senior Marketing Managers and Platform Product Marketing to continue to build relationships with affiliates.
- Build close working relationship with external agencies.
- Work with Senior Marketing Managers to collaborate closely with internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with wider marketing team to ensure campaigns are aligned and fully 360 in their approach.
- Work with the social and digital teams to develop digital and social assets for paid and owned show campaigns, including production of online content plans.
- Ensure synergy between all online activity for show campaigns.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience in brand or marketing roles within the entertainment, media, or streaming sectors.
- Demonstrated success in planning and executing 360° marketing campaigns across paid, owned, and earned media.
- Strong understanding of digital and social media platforms.
- Experience working with creative, media, and production agencies, including briefing and asset approval.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple teams.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in budget tracking and raising POs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for creative thinking and problem-solving.
- Experience in marketing, preferably in the TV & media industry.
- Experience working on campaigns for both linear and streaming platforms.
- Knowledge of the UK television landscape and audience behaviours.
