Work location: On the road

Salary: $29.00 to $33.00 hourly (To be negotiated) / 60 to 96 hours bi-weekly

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Work settings may vary. Frequent or constant travel is required from the employee.

Work setting: Home care and visiting care agency, Nursing home/home for the aged.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor nutritional intake
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team

Credentials:

  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate

Experience and Specialization:

  • Area of specialization: Geriatrics, Palliative care, Rehabilitation, Mental health

Security and Safety:

  • Criminal record check
  • Driver's validity licence check

Transportation/Travel Information:

  • Valid driver's licence
  • Own vehicle
