We are currently looking for individuals to join the Machine Shop team as Manual Machinists to assist with the preparation of cast tubes for Welding.
Regular overtime including weekends up to Double time (Sundays).
Company Pension, Life insurance, Future training and progression.
Ideally, we are looking for individuals who have experience using Conventional Machinery (Lathes or Mills); however, exposure within a similar tool room or Machine Shop environment will be considered as training can be provided for the right candidate.
You will be required to:
- Ensure the reduction or elimination of any rework for surface finish.
- Data collection i.e., recording of measurements before and after boring.
- Visual inspection on finish.
- Marking up of swarf drums (alloy identification).
- On/off loading of tubes from racks and storage using overhead crane.
- Understanding of quality issues and ability to make necessary adjustments to ensure tubes pass.
- Familiarity with modern management techniques such as TPM and 5S.
- Working safely throughout all activities in line with Paralloy’s safety standards and procedures.
