The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor to work within our Machine shop at our FVC site in Sheffield. You will be required to assist with the day to day management of our operators to ensure that production runs to schedule and targets are achieved, whilst maintaining an excellent standard of health and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Leadtime's on jobs.
- PPMs are carried out on each machine.
- Take the lead in training apprentices/trainees and upskilling the workforce and carrying out training reviews.
- Forward planning for next jobs on machines ensures parts/paperwork are ready.
- Shift hand over report for shift change in the form of an email copying in Management.
- Identify and implement solutions to problems.
- Shift schedules are adhered to.
- Filling out KPIs ensuring targets are met.
Qualifications:
- Ideally you will have a strong machining background with knowledge of both Conventional and CNC Mills and Lathes.
- Proven experience within a leadership role.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
