Job Overview
The Associate Financial Adviser plays a key supporting role within the advisory team, working closely with an experienced Financial Adviser to ensure the smooth running of all day-to-day client and business activities. This position offers the opportunity to develop the technical knowledge, client relationship skills, and professional qualifications required to progress towards full Financial Adviser status.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Support: Assist in the preparation and follow-up of client meetings, including gathering relevant information, producing reports, and managing ongoing actions.
- Research & Analysis: Support the adviser in analysing clients’ existing arrangements, conducting research across pensions, investments, and protection solutions, and preparing recommendations under supervision.
- Administration Oversight: Liaise with the client services team to ensure efficient processing of new business, policy servicing, and client communications.
- Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate client records and ensure all work meets regulatory and company compliance standards.
- Learning & Development: Work through a structured training plan designed to develop both technical and advisory competencies, supported by mentoring and funded qualifications (e.g., Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning).
- Client Relationship Building: Gradually take on greater responsibility for client communication and management, developing trusted relationships under the guidance of the lead adviser.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to team initiatives, process improvements, and business development activities.
