The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in delivering large-scale construction projects within a newly established division of a leading tier one construction contractor. Operating in a secure and sensitive environment, the Project Manager will lead teams responsible for high-value, technically demanding works for a key client.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing oversight to ensure successful delivery of complex and high-value construction projects, achieving both operational and commercial objectives through effective management of multidisciplinary teams and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
- Driving assigned projects to completion on schedule and within budget, prioritising safety and quality by empowering and guiding site teams to execute strategic project plans.
- Taking overall responsibility for implementing company SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) policies and procedures, ensuring full compliance from all employees and subcontractors.
- Serving as mentor, line manager, and escalation point for site teams, sharing expertise to support professional development.
- Acting as the primary client liaison to foster strong working relationships with external bodies, promoting ongoing collaboration and future opportunities for Kier.
- Upholding corporate values when engaging with the supply chain and customers, striving to exceed expectations and drive industry-leading performance.
This Project Manager position is ideal if you:
- Are an experienced senior construction professional who has led teams on projects valued between £20m and £50m.
- Possess membership or accreditation with a relevant professional body (e.g., CIOB/ICE).
- Have experience utilising ASTA Power Project or Microsoft Project software.
- Hold, or have held, site accreditations such as SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid.
- Possess a full driving licence.
- Can undergo SC clearance checks.
