Most sales roles only pay commission when the final deal closes. That can mean waiting weeks or months to be rewarded, while relying on someone else to complete the sale. At Parallel, you earn commission for generating attended, qualified sales meetings. Your job is to start the conversation, identify a genuine opportunity and secure a meeting between the prospect and our client. Once that meeting takes place and meets the agreed qualification criteria, you are eligible to be paid for it. You do not need to wait for the client to close the final deal.

About Parallel Partnerships

Parallel Partnerships is a fast-growing B2B sales and appointment-setting business based in Leeds. In under three years, we have grown to more than 60 people and now work with established UK and international clients across a wide range of industries. Our sales teams represent those clients by speaking directly with business owners, managers, directors and other senior decision-makers. Because we work across multiple sectors and campaigns, the role offers far more variety than selling the same product or service every day. We are still a relatively small and fast-moving company, which means new opportunities are created regularly and strong performers can make a visible impact as the business grows.

The Role

As a SDR / BDR, your objective is to create genuine new business opportunities for our clients. You will contact UK businesses, speak with senior decision-makers, understand their current situation and identify whether there is a relevant commercial reason for them to meet with one of our clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Making outbound calls to UK businesses
  • Speaking with managers, directors, founders and other decision-makers
  • Asking effective questions to understand the prospects' current position
  • Identifying genuine sales opportunities
  • Handling objections and creating interest
  • Booking qualified sales meetings
  • Managing follow-up activity by phone and email
  • Keeping accurate notes and updating campaign records
  • Working across one or more B2B client campaigns
  • Improving your calls through regular training, coaching and feedback

You will not be responsible for closing the final sale. Your performance is measured on the quality of the opportunities you create, including whether meetings are attended and meet the agreed qualification criteria.

Salary and Uncapped Commission

Your starting basic salary will be between £24,000 and £26,000, depending on your experience. At target, commission is approximately £1,000 per month, expected earnings are £36,000 - £38,000 per year. Commission is uncapped, so reps who exceed target can earn more. Our commission structure is designed to reward both quality and consistency:

  • You earn commission for each attended and qualified sales meeting
  • Payments range from approximately £25 to £95 per meeting
  • Your rate increases as you move closer to target
  • Your earning rate continues to increase when you exceed target
  • You do not need to wait for the client to close the final sale
  • SDR 2 and SDR 3 receive enhanced commission rates
  • Your basic salary also increases as you progress

The more consistently you generate genuine, attended opportunities, the more you can earn.

Clear Progression to SDR 3

You will join with a defined progression route through: SDR 1 → SDR 2 → SDR 3. As you progress, both your salary and commission rates increase. SDR 2 and SDR 3 salaries can rise to approximately £28,000 - £29,000, alongside stronger commission rates per attended, qualified meeting. Progression is based on sustained performance rather than simply length of service. To progress, you will need to achieve agreed targets over three consecutive months, including:

  • Qualified meeting output
  • Meeting attendance rate
  • Sales results generated from your opportunities
  • Consistency and reliability

Progression to SDR 3 requires higher performance standards and a contribution towards a client extending its partnership with us. This gives you a clear route to increase your salary, commission and responsibility without waiting for a management vacancy to appear.

Three Training Sessions Every Week

Training does not stop after your first week. Our SDRs receive three structured training sessions every week, covering areas such as:

  • Objection handling
  • Closing techniques
  • Effective questioning
  • Call structure
  • Creating interest
  • Qualification
  • Speaking confidently with senior decision-makers
  • Improving commercial conversations

You will also receive regular call feedback and support from managers who understand the role. The objective is to help you improve your sales ability, generate stronger results and increase your earnings.

Who We Are Looking For

Previous B2B appointment-setting experience is highly desirable, but we will also consider strong candidates from backgrounds such as:

  • Sales development
  • Business development
  • Recruitment
  • Telesales
  • Telemarketing
  • Lead generation
