We are looking for Paralegals to join a growing legal team based in central Sheffield, working 3-4 days from the office and remotely for the remainder of days. This opportunity is ideal for candidates holding an LPC or equivalent legal certification, who are keen to apply their legal knowledge in a dynamic environment. The role provides valuable hands-on experience in a busy department gaining exposure to complex work, with clear pathways for professional development.

Duties

  • Ability to handle cases in different stages of pre and post litigation in accordance with the company’s policies.
  • Review claims for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all documentation is provided.
  • Process claims by entering and verifying data against policy details.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to clarify details or gather additional information.
  • Preparation of damages breakdown and legal fees.
  • Preparation of witness statements, statements of case and bundles for hearings.
  • Maintain detailed records of claim progress and correspondence.
  • Escalate complex matters for further review.

Qualifications and skills

  • LPC preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrated interest in insurance, claims, or legal compliance.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and use case management system.
