The role
Working within the Operations group, a Technician plays a key role in the manufacture of graphene-based products, whether involved in Front End of Line (FEOL), Back End of Line (BEOL) or Photolithography. Operators use high-tech semiconductor processing and/or test equipment to ensure continued production of high-quality products for a growing customer base. This role offers involvement with electronic devices that deliver superior performance, robustness, and energy efficiencies across applications including automotive and healthcare. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals with a background in manufacturing environments who are looking for a new challenge in a high-tech industry and who want to contribute to the electronics/semiconductor space.
Responsibilities
- The handling of semiconductor wafers
- The inspection and imaging of semiconductor wafers and devices
- Collect and record data to validate our products against test specifications
- Operate mechanical and electrical test systems
- Monitor all processes to help prevent or identify equipment malfunction
- Maintain and support the optimisation of equipment processes through evidential-led means
- Work with senior colleagues across departments to aid trouble shooting and develop process improvements
- Succinctly report and record results using our bespoke software
Qualifications and experience
- Education and Qualifications: HNC/HND or equivalent
- Proven hands-on approach to tasks and problem solving
- Background and experience in high-tech manufacturing
- Experience of working in a manufacturing facility with R&D/Lab experience desirable
- Diligent and methodical with focus on completing tasks efficiently
- Ability to prioritise tasks and workloads across projects
- Ability to communicate at all levels with internal and external contacts
