Location: Paragon Referrals, Wakefield

Job Type: Permanent Full Time

Hours: Approximately 40 hrs. per week (9.30 am-6.00 pm Monday-Friday) to be discussed at the interview. There may be a requirement to work weekends.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Our outpatient service team seeks a dedicated and diligent professional to join our collaborative environment. The outpatient services include registered nurses and patient care assistants from oncology, cardiology, dermatology, and the dispensary departments. This position is responsible for providing essential support across these teams as needed, ensuring the safe and secure treatment of patients within each department. Key duties will include:

  • Helping with consults, including restraining patients.
  • Supporting outpatient service nurses during patient procedures.
  • Handling medication dispensing.
  • Managing inventory and stock levels.
  • Performing administrative tasks and answering phone calls.
  • Aiding with front desk responsibilities.
  • Collaborating effectively within a team setting.
  • Infection control measures.
  • Providing assistance in other hospital departments as required.
  • Cleaning and closing down clinical areas at the end of shifts.
  • Packaging and processing of laboratory samples.
