Hours: 20 hours per week
A multi-disciplinary RVN position has opened at Paragon Veterinary Referrals, Paragon Park, Wakefield. This is a part-time position working a 2- week rotation through Surgery, Internal Medicine and Wards.
The ideal candidate will be passionate, positive, and able to work under pressure. The RVN should be proactive, able to manage time effectively and work within a team.
This opportunity would suit an RVN who enjoys all aspects of nursing. As an MD nurse you will be working over all the different disciplines, and therefore, it is essential that you to have an adaptable and flexible approach to your work, as well as a strong willingness to learn. High standards of patient care are to always be maintained.
Referral experience is preferred however not necessary as full training will be given. Must be at least one year post-registration to be considered.
Key duties will include:
• Creating and delivering nursing care plans to numerous inpatients
• Nursing intensive and critical patients
• Anaesthesia
. Maintenance of kits
. Patient prep
. Surgery set up
. Recovery of patients after procedures
