Role Description This full-time Lift Engineer role is based in the UK. Day-to-day duties include inspecting, maintaining, and repairing lifts, diagnosing faults, and carrying out scheduled and reactive service visits. The role involves ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, completing accurate service documentation, and communicating clearly with customers and colleagues about work carried out and any follow-up actions. collaborate with other engineers and facilities staff, and contribute to continuous improvement in service quality and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Strong technical proficiency with passenger and goods lifts, and related mechanical/electrical systems, ideally supported by relevant vocational training or certification.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance & repair activities, including fault finding, routine servicing, and corrective actions in a field-based engineering role.
- Sound knowledge of health & safety practices and regulations, with the ability to apply safe working methods and conduct risk assessments on site.
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and build professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Lift Engineering) and a valid UK driving licence.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, manage time and priorities, and use digital tools for reporting and documentation.
- Previous experience within the lift industy highly beneficial; willingness to participate in an on-call rota and occasional travel as required.
