Paragon Traffic Management Ltd is a fast-growing, ambitious traffic management business based in Scunthorpe, delivering high quality, reliable service across the UK. We specialise in traffic & pedestrian management for utility works, events, roadworks, and installations.

We pride ourselves on turning around quotations rapidly (our target is within 24 hours), and we are looking for someone to help us keep pace with demand and maintain our KPIs.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly organised, technically capable, and experienced Traffic Management Design & Survey Lead who can step into a leadership position and drive excellence. You will be responsible for:

Allocation, oversight, and approval of all Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) developed by the team
Allocation, oversight, and approval of desktop surveys conducted by your team
Producing and finalising TMPs & Surveys yourself when required
Ensuring quality and consistency in design output (signage, lane closures, permit layouts, etc.)
Working with BricsCAD, Cone (or equivalent) software for TMP design
Managing resources, workload, and deadlines to ensure quotations and designs turn around within KPI (24 hrs)
Mentoring, reviewing, and approving work from designers and surveyors
Working under pressure, adapting to shifting priorities, and ensuring the team meets business demands
Liaising with clients, site teams, local authorities, and permit bodies when required
Implementing best practices, QA checks, and continuous improvement in processes

You will be a key \”go-to\” person in the business—someone who can \”pull the strings\” in design and survey, keeping the wheels turning smoothly and ensuring that output is accurate, timely, and of high standard.

Key Requirements / Person Specification

Essential

Lantra M7 qualification
Proven experience designing Traffic Management Plans (TMPs) and conducting/approving surveys
Proficiency with BricsCAD and Cone (or similar TMP design software)
Very strong computer skills (CAD, Microsoft Office, data management)
Excellent organisational ability, with a track record managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines
Good leadership and management capability—able to direct, mentor, and coordinate a team
Strong attention to detail, quality control, and ability to sign off work confidently
Ability to work under pressure, think on your feet, and meet demanding KPIs
Excellent communication and stakeholder liaison skills
Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites (if needed)
Ability to slot into a growing business and take ownership

Preferred / Advantageous

Previous experience in a traffic management design lead or supervisory role
Familiarity with NHSS standards, permit applications, swept path analysis, and local authority requirements
Experience in process improvement, QA workflows, and standardisation of design output
