Due to recent expansion, a family-run food manufacturing business is seeking to expand their engineering function by recruiting an Engineering Supervisor/Engineering Team Manager.
Responsibility for 6-10 Engineers, reporting into the Engineering Manager, working on a Days Based Panama Shift Pattern. To provide first-class mechanical and electrical engineering supervision to contribute to the smooth operation of the organisation's production objectives and targets. Front line leadership will be provided to offer on-the-job support and coaching to the Engineering team, striving for best-in-class team performance.
Responsibilities:
- To ensure all food safety legislation and guidelines as well as company policies are adhered to.
- To escalate any issues to the Engineering Manager in a timely manner.
- Maintain effective communication with the wider site.
- Assisting with contracting/maintenance and projects to ensure objectives are achieved.
- To ensure all paperwork and systems are completed and accurate in accordance with company procedures and industry regulations.
- Drive department CMMS (Shire) adherence/utilisation.
- Continuous reviewing of CMMS data with steps taken to correct or identify corrective measures to Eng Manager and/or Reliability Engineer.
- To diagnose and fix all electrical and mechanical issues on machinery with minimum disruption to production.
- Ensure all site machinery, buildings and utilities are maintained.
