Most importantly, we want the home to feel like exactly that: a home.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

· Supporting daily routines and structure

· Helping with education, appointments and activities

· Supporting young people to develop life skills and independence

· Providing emotional support during difficult moments

· Helping young people regulate their emotions

· Promoting positive behaviour and healthy choices

· Supporting safeguarding and following care plans

· Completing clear and accurate records

· Working closely with your colleagues and the Registered Manager

· Helping create a safe, welcoming and homely environment

· Some days will be challenging.

· Some days will be brilliant.

· But every day, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for people with the right attitude.

You’ll need to be:

· Caring and compassionate

· Calm under pressure

· Reliable and consistent

· Confident setting appropriate boundaries

· A good communicator

· Resilient

· Positive and energetic

· Able to work well as part of a small team

· Passionate about supporting young people

· A full UK driving licence holder

· Previous experience in children’s residential care is desirable, but attitude, values and the ability to build strong relationships are just as important.

· A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare would be advantageous, although training and development can be provided for the right person.
